I see people out running in 100 degree heat at noon thirty. Why? Why do that to yourself? Running is miserable enough for a majority of the folks out there, and I'm pretty sure the 40 year-old man pouring sweat, looking on the verge of a myocardial infarction is not part of the minority that enjoys running.
Run in the mornings, people. I promise, it makes running exponentially more enjoyable!
The scenery is amazing, whether you're on a country road (my fav!) or running the city streets of Denver.
I had a pharmaceutical compounding question at work last Friday, so I called up Miss Mo, who I graduated with and who happens to manage the pharmacy in town that does the majority of retail compounding. While we were chatting, I talked her into coming hiking with me the next morning at Devil's Backbone.
At 5am.
She had to work at 9am.
That's a good friend, right there.
I'm pretty sure she thought it was totally worth it.
Who's got two thumbs and is pumped to be up and at 'em at 5 am?? Miss Mo!
We hiked a few miles in, then hiked back out with plenty of time for her to get to work. We're gonna plan a hiking trip to Moab in the fall.
Keyhole Arch is a pretty sweet little spot to take pictures over the Front Range. It's so awesome to have these places a short drive from my house.
We're gonna do it again soon. Might try to make it to the top of Horsetooth Mountain!
I'm getting excited to head to Iowa with Wilberforce for my 10 year class reunion in a couple weeks! W hasn't been home to Iowa in forever - we get to see the Bad Boys and Mom and Dad's new kitchen! Whoop whoop!
PS, has anyone seen that commercial with the camel walking around asking "Who knows what day it is today?"
"Hump Day!"
"Whoop whoop!"
W has seen it. He thinks it's the most hilarious thing in the entire universe. Today is Wednesday aka Hump Day. If he asks me what today is one more time, I'm going to roundhouse kick him in the gut.
I'm not sure how to roundhouse kick someone. I need to google it.
Gotta go. Googling to do.
