I started Spoonful Of Fit's 12 Week Body Built program today. Looooove it!
I went into my town's gym, since I needed some equipment I don't have at home. I had the place almost to myself during my weight lifting and the first few minutes of HIIT.
Then the senior rush poured in the door.
Old people are so freakin' adorable! A couple of ladies jumped on the two open treadmills next to me...
"Oh my, I wish I could do that! I don't think I could do that even when I was her age!"
An old guy walked in the door, everyone greeted him and the lady next to me tells him "Watch this girl! Watch what she can do!" He watched me sprint for a couple seconds, laughs and says "Awww come on, kick it up a notch, girl!" We all started laughing.
Mine was more of a panting, gasping for air laugh...but a laugh all the same.
I spent my 30 second rest periods chatting with all the chatty old folks. I love them. They included me like I was part of their senior cardio group!
Then I jumped in my Buick and drove away.
For reals. I drive a Buick. Those old folks know luxury, man!
I wandered over to the grocery store after my stretching to cool down before heading home. I was ravenous by the time I got to my kitchen. So I whipped up a bowl of zoats.
But just my regular zoats wasn't enough for me this morning. I added a tablespoon of psyllium husk, a teaspoon of chia seeds, and a bunch of Cinnamon Roll Quest Bar bits. My in-laws had spent the night, so there was fresh coffee in the coffee pot; I dumped a bit of that over the zoats instead of the usual almond milk. Delish.
I love that berries don't cost $3,324.34 a package anymore. Yay for spring and summer fruit. I also love having them all washed up and ready to go in my fridge.
Yeah, berries.
Got a pretty good burn with my new workout program. Didn't turn my monitor off until I finished up my grocery shopping and jumped in the car.
Not bad for a pre-work-weekend workout, eh?
Happy Friday, World!
