How we bake squash at the Clark Pharm:
1. Cut squash in half. We have a knife that is used only to cut squash. It's huge. I sliced my thumb on it once; I almost bled out on the kitchen floor.
2. Scrape out seeds. Throw them away. Roast them. Plant them in your backyard so you can grow a giant squash stalk and climb up into the clouds.
Huh?
3. Place halves cut-side-down on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or foil.
4. Bake in preheated oven at 350F for 25-40 minutes (this depends on the size of the squash. You'll learn). Flip squash cut-side-up. Bake another 10 minutes.
5. Pierce squash flesh with a fork. Should be tender; if not, bake longer.
6. Remove from oven. Create squash masterpieces.
