My day was made completely awesome when the UPS man rang our doorbell.
Best. Birthday Card. Ever.
All my monsters wrote on it. Braed even drew a picture of me and my giant man-hands. I don't think he really meant I have man-hands.
But I really do.
Maybe he did it subconsciously.
Logan is learning to write. His nickname in the Clark home is now "Lognna".
In all the Auntie Manda cards I've received, Gus is the only one who ever spelled "Aunt" or "Auntie" correctly. Usually I'm Ant Amanda. Like the bug.
I don't mind.
I got some really sweet running shorts from my sister and the monsters! I think they might make an appearance at the gym this week.
Wilberforce got an awesome new Hawkeye sweatshirt. He was pretty excited. I'm pretty excited to steal it.
Today was an awesome day all-around. We started out hitting the gym for Leg Day at 6:00am. The first day in their new location!
I rocked the Mr. Rogers t-shirt in honor of senior fitness. I love dem old folks. It's all good in the hood.
We walked all over town afterwards - the grocery store, the hardware store, the gym.
ACE Hardware had baby chickens! I wanted to hold one, but I was 98% certain it would probably poop on me. I have that kind of luck.
No me gusta chicken poop.
I just took pictures of them instead.
And got outta there before Wilberforce decided he needed to start raising chickens.
I made a giant bowl of deliciousness for my post workout breakfast.
The bottom layer was kabocha squash and broccoli. Then I made a mug cake and ripped it up to put on top.
Topped that with a cocoa/pumpkin/cottage cheese something-or-other fluff. I'm not sure what all was in it. I just throw crap together and eat it.
I told you it was a giant bowl. Like, a casserole bowl.
We had a blizzard in Colorado last week. And the week before that.
Oh, and the week before that, too. Which pretty much covers the month of April.
The sun was out today. We soaked up that shizzzzz.
A belly full of breakfast and a face full of sun. Life don't get much better.
FYI, we are now lobsters. For real. I have a sunburn shaped like a cross on my chest from my necklace. I guess that's what happens when your skin hasn't seen sunlight for five months.
I'll take it.
Since the weather was so summery, we ate summery food.
Does anyone else eat the greens first and save all the tasty veggies and fruit for last?
Or is this just me?
I should make my salads upside-down. Toppings on the bottom, greens on the top. Less risk of dropping food out the side of the bowl while I dig around to eat the greens first.
Salad problems.
This meal was weird. Even I'll admit that. I sauteed turnips, radishes and broccoli in cinnamon, maple syrup and caramel extract, topped it all with another cocoa/pumpkin/cottage cheese mix and peanut flour. It was delicious, but very, very strange.
I'd eat it again.
Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Zoats from the other morning. Very, very delicious. But when are zoats not amazing?
This is my favorite view on my work day. Larry waiting for me in the parking lot. The chi-mo van is not so wonderful, but I work in the ghetto, so I can't ask for much more.
My game face. Ya gotta be thug to deal them drugs.
And stuff.
Peace, broseph.
