I may not be that 10 year old munchkin camped out in my room with my cassette player, practicing my best Reba...but she is totally still my hero!
Wednesday we drove up to Cheyenne to take in a little Frontier Days action...along with the Reba concert! Rodney Atkins and Hunter Hayes opened for her; Rodney is one of Wilberforce's favorite country artists and Reba has been my hero since...forever...so it was the perfect concert for the Clarks to attend!
We sat on the very top row, which actually ended up being awesome. Previous years we were practically in the front row of the stadium, but clear to the right of the stage setup...not good. Super high but straight out from the stage is much better. |
We had a few sprinkles during the Reba concert - nothing could ruin our night though! |
Cheyenne, Wyoming is a beautiful place. Especially at 8 pm on a late July evening; 70 degrees, light breeze, the smell of carneys and livestock on the air, funnel cakes sizzling, $6 bottles of luke warm water waiting to be purchased, neon "BEER" tshirt clad folks selling ice cold beverages everywhere you look...gotta love it.

The Daddy Of 'Em All |
This is the quality of photo you get when a drunk lady passing by offers to take your picture. I'm just happy she didn't fall down...standing up seemed tough for her at the moment. |
Fun fact for you: the past three summers we have attended concerts at Frontier Days. We make the 40 minute drive up I-25 to the land of the real man, and for the past three summers we have seen a rainbow on our drive to the concerts. How random is that?
On to my iPhone pictures. Mostly food pictures, because I still haven't gotten rid of that disease...the food photography bug.

The aftermath of a lunch I brought to Wilberforce at work. |
Baking and wine - the way Wilberforce and I spent an afternoon off of work. |
We like to go for walks after our workouts as a little cool-down...and sometimes we take pictures. |
My new oatmeal obsession! |
Every morning: egg white omelette (in this case with blueberry ketchup and maters) and big ol' bowl of oatmeal |
Wilberforce made coconut zucchini bread, so I made a pumpkin spread to top it off. |
If you cut bread into really thin slices, you have more pieces to put toppings on. Yay me! |
I don't think peas and mustard are a weird breakfast...what are you talking about? |
Fresh garden produce from Wilberforce's coworkers. |
Snack time at work! Peanut butter and stuff. |
It got hot. The end. |
Fried bananas, homemade strawberry jam, and maple syrup on Wilberforce's zucchini bread. Yeah baby. |
Our rocking chairs...where we like to pretend we're 65 years old, retired, and living the retirement dream in suburbia. |
Home baked maple donuts. Don't be jealous. Ok, be jealous, they're delicious. |
Spinach egg white omelette. Yum yum. |
Donut casserole thingy that I make for my lunch dessert every day. |
Look at those beautiful pumpkin and donut and greek yogurt layers! |
New running shorts |
Homemade graham crackers for our s'mores! |
S'mores. Mmmmmm. |
Wine, dark chocolate, and mo-mos. Heart healthy? I think so. |
Old picture from the Eric Church concert trip. |
Radishes and peas. Peas and radishes. |
Oatmeal. Pretty oatmeal. |
Sashimi take-out with home cooked bokchoy. |
Pumpkin spread covered maple donuts. |
Lunch break! |
Ripped off a toe nail during yoga. Why do all my workout injuries involve yoga? |
Wilberforce making himself a snack. |
Chocolate pumpkin brownies...with big ol' chunks of dark chocolate! |
Raspberry banana oats. Breakfast of Champions. |
Wilberforce puts normal stuff on his egg white omelettes...like tomatoes and avocados and stuff. |
Prepping lunch salads to bring to work for the week. |
Getting my hairs did. |
Sneak attack! Wilberforce was soooo sleepy, so he took a nap. |
Post-yoga oatmeal snack - apple cinnamon peanut butter oats. |
Breakfast this morning - peanut butter banana oatmeal! I would like to eat oatmeal for every meal, thank you very much. |
Wilberforce doesn't mess around with oatmeal. He makes an egg white omelette, then smothers it in 4 pounds of black beans, avocado, and spinach. Hello, protein. |
So that's all I've got today! Now I have to go get myself together for work. Boo for working the weekend.
Oh ps, the power has been going out here randomly. Our ice cubes look smaller than normal in the freezer. I think they're melting, then freezing, then melting a little when the power goes out. Hope this doesn't turn into a big problem. Stupid air conditioners and hot weather and power shortages.
Have a great weekend World!
