The Clark home enjoyed a peaceful Christmas. Wilberforce had to work on Christmas Day, so we celebrated on Christmas Eve.
This year, I asked for clothes. Since starting the 24 Day Challenge six months ago, I've shrunk quite a few sizes and was beginning to look like a homeless girl wearing hand-me-downs that were seven sizes too large.
Since I do all the Christmas shopping - including for myself - I pretty much got exactly what I wanted for Christmas.
Clothes!
Wilberforce was instructed not to buy me anything for Christmas. I. Just. Wanted. Clothes. It's nice to have clothes to wear to work.
I also realized, as I often do, that I'm turning into my mom a little more every day. See those boots?
I bought those for myself in November, wrapped them up, and stuck them under the tree. Christmas Eve came around and I had absolutely no idea what they were. Even after seeing the shoe box, still no clue. I had completely forgotten about them - total surprise! No wonder Mom could never remember what she had wrapped up for my sisters and me...I can't even remember what I bought for myself!
The mind is a terrible thing to waste.
Wilberforce got a few Christmas surprises, and a few things he knew about before-hand. I suppose Christmas will be more exciting if we ever have elementary school age kids around. Or if we win the lottery and can surprise each other with new vehicles for Christmas!!! Keep dreaming...
I found an air popper for popcorn for Wilberforce. He loves popcorn and I love making him eat healthy. I found a popcorn cookbook at Williams and Sonoma with crazy popcorn recipes. His first batch of popcorn included hot sauce, paprika, and was spiiiiicy.
This Marmot jacket is sweet. It's made from sweater material, but is super warm. And Wilberforce looks good in it. He's been wearing it everywhere.
Will found this shirt for me. A more perfect t-shirt has never been created. I posted this baby on facebook...I am apparently not the only one who bleeds ketchup.
I woke up early on Christmas Eve to make Will some tasty pumpkin ginger pancakes. I shall share them later.
The Clarks are off to get Wilberforce his carry permit - Merry Christmas to Dad :)
Happy New Year!
