Triple Butterscotch Gloriousness

Wilberforce and I went to a Colorado Avalanche game tonight.  We scored club seats for $15 a ticket!  Why yes, I would like to have you take my order so I don't have to walk my lazy self down the hall to the bar.  Thanks.

The Avs won in a sudden death shoot out.  That's after the five minutes of sudden death overtime and after the original three round shoot out.  I noticed the announcer called it "sudden victory" rather than "sudden death".  As if "death" was too harsh a word to use in hockey.  Ha.  I scoff at that notion.

I'm scoffing.

Hi Dad, I know you're thinking "I wonder where she got that".
Triple Butterscotch Cupcakes.  Triple.  As in every. thing. is. butterscotch.
Butterscotch cupcake.  Butterscotch frosting.  Butterscotch drizzles.

It might impress you to know that there is no "butterscotch" flavoring in these babies.  All the butterscotch tastiness is due to dark brown sugar, butter, and rum.

Kraken Rum, to be more specific.
 Release the Kraken!
I released it, and these cupcakes were the result.

At work today, one of the girls was telling another drug dealer and I a story when she threw in an inside joke.  Except she forgot that neither of us were in on the inside joke.  Ever have that happen to you?

"Don't look at me like I'm crazy!  You remember!  Haha remember that time - wait, you weren't there.  Hey you, remember that time - wait, you weren't there either..."

The whole situation was hilarious and created it's own inside joke.  I love being on the inside of those jokes.
I like to bake while listening to Pandora on my phone.  And while chewing on a stick of butter.
I brought these babies to work today.  Unfortunately, I decided to follow Mr. Jackwagon on the highway to work, and had to *ahem* brake slightly to avoid rear ending him when he stopped dead in his tracks in the middle of the fog.  The cupcakes that had been sitting on the passenger seat were then crammed up under the dashboard.  Needless to say, they had a little road rash when they arrived at the pharmacy.  Luckily, I have a super cool cupcake carrier that keeps them sanitary, even in a fiery car crash.  The girls loved them.  Like, really loved them.

Of course, these cupcakes really aren't that pretty in comparison to others I've made lately.  No leaning tower of frosting today.
The frosting was so rich, an entire tower would choke a horse.
I don't even know what that means.  The point is, I went easy on the frosting.
Make these.  You'll thank me.
