Happy Fourth...in photos...

We had our annual firework extravaganza at the farm this year.  Will has never had the chance to see it before...he loved it.

Mom made some wonderful food, all the kids and most of the grandkids made it down for the festivities.

We started out by catching some lightning bugs and running around the lawn like maniacs.  It's what we do.
Can you believe Will didn't grow up with lightning bugs?  How insane is that?  A life without lightning bugs is no life at all...or so they say.  "They" being me.

Then we grabbed a giant firework that our parents would never in a million years let us light by ourselves.
Except Logie...he just wears his hat and sits on his tryke.
Cassie and Jace had a blast.
Don't you just wanna bite this little monster?  He's such a cute little pixie monster.  He has a tiny little voice, too.
We started out with fire crackers, smoke balls, spinners, and fountains while we had a little daylight left.
When it was finally dark, we broke out the sparklers for the little monsters.  No one liked sparklers last time I was home for fireworks...seeing everyone with sparklers and not screaming was a nice surprise.
The end of our Fourth of July celebration is always the best...that's when Dad starts handing out the big 'uns.

Keep in mind, I didn't have a tripod and I'm not great at photographing fireworks.  Just an FYI.

All in all, we had a perfect Independence Day with family!
