Farm Life.
I didn't realize there was a whole world out there full of people who only care about the weather when it interferes with their tee time or tickets to the Rockies game. Crazy.
Even crazier - I'm turning into that golfer who prays for sunshine, even though Colorado always needs rain. Isn't it strange how you tend to steal your spouse's hobbies? I'm turning into a golfer and Will is turning into a picture taker.

It's been raining here. Rain means no golf and no photography.
With no new photos to edit I was forced to resort to old images. I decided to rework some images from January. I found a photography forum in January, which I've been reading religiously ever since, and I think I've been learning a lot. My editing has definitely changed for the better...
A photography term:
SOOC = straight out of camera...the image exactly as the camera saved it, with no editing.
On the above image I increased exposure, sharpened the eyes, changed white balance and softened her skin. Ta-dah!
The light on my front porch is awesome for portraits...especially on cloudy days. These were taken on a sunny day...a little tougher for Maureen to stare into the sun when there aren't any clouds to shield her precious peepers...
On this one I did the same editing and also took a little orange/red saturation out of her skin. This image is very technically wrong...her cheek is chopped off and only one eye is in focus...more of an outtake of the shoot, but I like it.
I won't show the original edits, but they were horrific. They might be buried deep in my flickr photostream, but you'd have to look pretty hard to find them.

Had a great day at work. A great Saturday is always wonderful, because it's the longest shift we ever have to work so a crappy Saturday is about as awful as work gets. I don't think a single patient yelled at me today - score!

The sun is supposed to come out soon - warm and sunny Monday in time for an evening round of golf. Sorry Colorado farmers...I'm not praying for rain anymore.
