Linen Pinboard & Storage Pseudo-Solution

A while ago I found this linen pinboard at Pottery Barn.  Loved it!  Did not love the $149 price tag.

I drove my hiney to Michaels to buy a big bulletin board for under $20, and found a couple yards of linen on sale at Joann Fabrics for $25.  Then I camped out in my living room for 20 minutes and created this:
I stapled the linen to the back of the board, like gift wrapping, and wa-lah!  I didn't pad it with any batting...I think that would have made it tough to pin stuff to.  When I googled "linen pinboard" I had seen another DIY pinboard with the ribbon on it, which I liked so I used a little ribbon on mine as well.

I also found these cool little wooden push pins at the Container Store:
I have enough material left over for another board...and an old bulletin board in the basement, so I might make another pinboard soon.

I have a storage issue in my bathroom.  Our sink is covered in hair products and make up and facewash and toothpaste and lotion and everything else you could find in a bathroom.  I have yet to find a good storage system for our cabinets under the sink, which would probably solve my problem pretty easily, but I found a quick fix at Target today.
Bathroom corner before.
Bathroom corner after.
I can't lie.  That swiffer in the before picture is still in that same spot.  I have a psychiatric condition thing about hair.  I have to swiffer every morning after drying my hair...I can't bear the thought of dragging all that hair on my socks onto the carpet in the rest of the house.  Blehhh.  Gross.  Yuck.

I'm painting the laundry room when we have a free weekend.  I told Will today; he didn't seem to care either way.  He might care when he finds out he gets to help move the washer and dryer.  I'm guessing he will suddenly love the old color and rather we leave it the way it is.

Too bad his opinion doesn't count when it comes to laundry room wall color.

I'm taking formal pictures of the boys when I'm home next.  I found coordinating outfits at the Gap last week...coordinating, not matching.
As you might be able to see, the theme is "skulls".  I'm 98% certain that Grandma is going to hate their shirts, and Mom is going to roll her eyes.  But Aunty Manda is pumped about the bad ass boys.  Bahahahahahaha!

I'm a great influence.

During our last phone conversation Loogie informed his mom he's going on the airplane with his brothers and me this summer.  Then he told his mom that I sleep on the airplane.  At least he offered to bring me blankets and pillows.  Conversations with a three year old are always interesting and rarely make sense.  Not unlike conversations with our patients at work...

Speaking of work, I have to go back tomorrow, so I best be getting some shut-eye. G'nite!
