Road Trippin'

Utah is fabtastic.

Except for the snowstorm that lasted 3 days.

We were in Salt Lake City over the weekend for a wedding.  All our friends from all over the country were there...a college reunion.  It was great.

I took a load of pictures.  Not as many as I had wanted to, but I always have this fear of being extremely annoying to the real (paid) photographer if I'm all up in her biz-ness.  So I didn't get any posed shots...just candids, but I like 'em.  So there.

----------------

We left Salt Lake with the intention of heading to Grand Junction for a day, then another stop in another town before we made our way home.  Whilst on our drive (yes, whilst) we saw a sign for Moab, UT....

...Will says "Wanna go to Moab?", I say "You ever been?", Will says "Nope".  So we went.  And it was awesome.  Drove through the Arches National Park, did some hiking, took some pictures, drove into Moab around 8pm to find a hotel and have dinner.

Being a grown-up is awesome.

-------------------

Something not awesome: tornadoes.

Even less awesome: tornadoes in Northwest Iowa.

At least twelve tornadoes touched down Saturday night in the area where my family lives.  No one was seriously injured, but millions of dollars worth of damage has been done to towns, homes, and farms.  I've been watching facebook as friends post pictures of damage to their homes or their families homes.  It's horrible.

And that's all I have to say about that.
