Good day today...iPad came in the mail, spent the day with Will, and we now have food in the house! We went grocery shopping at Safeway...Will bought me daisies. Daisies for Daisy.
Love my new macro and new camera! Willm made fun of me because I had my tripod in the kitchen with a vase of flowers in the sink (the counter was too high). I opened the window blinds to get better light - good thing the neighbors couldn't see me because I looked very much like a stalker taking pictures of their home.

Yard work tomorrow. Half the people on our block have already had their lawns mowed and aerated. Of course, most of those people have lawn companies care for their lawns. Those of us who actually do the work ourselves have been putting it off. And when I say "us" I mean "William".
I love mowing the lawn, especially at Mom and Dad's. Three hours on a lawn mower with my iPod in 97 degree heat with 99% humidity and the occasional pop break is glorious. I wouldn't mind mowing the lawn at our house, even though it's so small it would take approximately 3 minutes to mow with the rider mower. But I happen to know that if I mow the lawn, even once, William will never mow the lawn again. Ever. The mowing is William's responsibility - if he doesn't do it, it will not get done.
We have an electric push mower. Probably not the easiest way to do it, but we procrastinate so much it would take 3 months for either of us to go get gas for a real mower. So now William pretends he's vacuuming when he mows...except if he runs over the mower cord, he's in a bit of trouble.
Our neighbor had a hectic day of mowing. As I was taking pictures of my flowers (and NOT stalking the neighbors), I heard three things: a lawn mower, screaming, and a dog barking.
The mower was the neighbor's mower, which he was pushing while jogging. Crazy. The screaming was his son, who was laying on their deck, throwing a fit, while his dad was pushing the mower while jogging. The dog was also the neighbor's, which was chasing the daughter who was chasing the dad who was pushing the mower while jogging.
So far I haven't had to chase William while he was mowing, but if I find that, for any reason, I need to chase him while he's mowing, I can tell you one thing.
He sure as hell better not be jogging.
