I had a very productive day today, especially since I accidentally slept in until 9 am - whoops! I learned a few very important things while building my leaning bookshelves for the office:
1. Particle board/plywood/MDF is freaking heavy! I have no idea what its made of, but I'm pretty certain they crush up boulders, lead, and wood and glue it all together in a sheet to make it as difficult as possible to haul.
2. Cutting a straight line longer than 12 inches with a jigsaw = impossible.
3. Frozen meatballs from Sam's Club are delicious. (Ok, so this was learned right after I put my tools away for the day...)
Tomorrow I'm going to wake up when William leaves for work and get started on putting the bookshelves together. Haven't figured out my plan of attack for painting them, but that will come as I'm working on them I suppose.
A post with no pictures? Tsk tsk.
