I finished up the Body Built program a few weeks ago. I've been writing up my own workouts since then and I absolutely love it! My favorite part of every day is sitting down, laying out all my workout papers, and putting together a killer workout.
I lied.
My favorite part of every day is doing the workout and listening to Wilberforce whine about how tough it is. Then the next day at work he'll text me and tell me how sore he is. The sorer and whinier he is, the more satisfaction I get.
I'm such a good wife.
I've developed an unfortunate obsession with Lululemon workout gear. I suppose it would seem more unfortunate if I didn't live in workout clothes. I even wear them to work sometimes.
Shhh. Don't tell. I've gotten back into running outside. My treadmill belt is loose. I almost died last time I tried to run on it...sidewalks are less dangerous.
I usually burn around 100 calories per mile when I run at my usual 10min/mile pace. Not fast by any means, but I can run for a while at that pace, and it makes it easy to figure out how far I can run and get home in time to get showered for work.
Today I killed my five mile run. Mile three was a non-race PR pace. I was stoked. Mile four was 15 seconds shorter than that. I'm loving it! But wait...I totally dialed it in and knocked another 24 seconds off that pace to run my fastest non-race mile ever! AND it was mile five...you'd think I was too wasted from the first four to even walk home, much less practically sprint! I jogged down the middle of the road to my house, fist pumping like Rocky, singing "We are the champions".
Not really. But I could have.
I made meat bread.
Doesn't that sound disgusting? But really, isn't that what meat loaf is?
Anyway, I made Pumpkin Chili Turkey Meatloaf and it was delicious. Wilberforce and I have been bringing it to work with us for our lunches. I got the recipe from @pbeechie on Instagram...she's a meat bread genius.
Muahahahahaha.
This salad was tasty. I'm just posting it because it's pretty. I ate this last Saturday in the middle of a tornado.
Not kidding.
Wilberforce and I were watching "Longmire" (awesome freaking show!!) on DVD (we rented it from the library...like the actual building!) and I heard the storm siren go off. Wilberforce hates storms. The sky was green. No rain. No hail. Just really, really eerily green. I could see the rotation in the clouds over the school across the street.
Yes, yes I was that idiot who hears the tornado warning sirens and goes outside to watch. Shelter? What for? That just sounds like something sensible people would run for.
Pretty sure W had a stress ulcer by the time the storm passed. We ended up getting a really nice rain. The surrounding areas had ridiculous amounts of hail damage, and a couple tornadoes touched down in the area.
The Lenz Luck did not follow me when I changed my last name, thankfully.
Another killer workout by yours truly.
Wilberforce and I cranked out our workout, then went for a walk around Johnstown. We found this little guy on the side of main street.
I'm sure people driving by thought we were nuts. We are. A little.
I live for days off of work with Wilberforce. Last time we had a day off together, we went over to Boulder for some Lululemon shopping and Whole Foods wandering.
We ate at a new place called ModMarket. It's pretty much awesome.
I brought my new workout bag. Also awesome.
Sometimes, when you wake up at 5:30am to go for a run and your husband gets up to go shower, you're a little loopy.
And sometimes, you have a bad hair day when you wake up.
And sometimes, those two things combine and make you feel that capturing the moment on video is totally necessary.
We laughed so hard we were crying when we rewatched this video. We were pretty sure it was the funniest moment in the history of the world. Maybe because we were still sleeping with our eyes open.
I actually did brush my hair before I went running. I didn't want anyone to call the nut hut and tell them I escaped.
Sunday morning we hit the gym before work. Sundays are nice at the gym because no one is ever there, so we have all the equipment to ourselves. I can set my water bottle on a bench and not feel bad about it.
REBEL.
And I can make videos to pass the time on the treadmill without other people seeing how ridiculous I am.
We met at a new sushi place in town after work Sunday night for a date! Woot woot!
Stop light shenanigans on the way home from our date. He should be arrested for that kind of behavior.
Today I did my epic run, then went to the gym for Leg Day by myself.
I love my morning runs. I've been venturing out onto the county roads. The cornfields make me feel at home. Today I filmed this whole video without stopping or slowing down at all. This was the middle of mile three.
What did people do without instagram videos during cardio?
Another meal. Cabbage and Spaghetti Squash in a Coconut Flour Tortilla. With PB sauce and Chocolate Sauce.
This post was boring. I'm not feeling very humorous today. Blah. Sorry Dad.
