While back home, Dad took us all bowling. Dad pointed out that it is a good thing his bowling skills weren't needed to feed his family all these 30 years. We would have starved.
I shouldn't be talking - my bowling skills were passed down from Dad.
I wonder if bowling is like boxing? Supposedly in boxing, a swing and a miss takes much more energy than a punch that connects with your opponents face. Does it take a bazillion more joules of energy (whoa, pulled that 8th grade science term outta my back pocket) to throw a gutter ball than a strike? I'm going to pretend it does...because then our post-bowling trip to Dairy Queen would have been earned :)
We ate Dilly bars and they were spectacular.
Snow had started falling pretty heavily by the time we left DQ, so the boys ran around trying to eat the flakes. Crazies.
I realized it is extremely hard to photograph a night-time snow flake eating excursion. By the time I had figured out the right settings on my camera, Beanie was rounding up the bad boys to get in the car. Boo. So I gave up and just shot a video instead.

Saturday was hair-cutting day in monster land. Braed's new hair was my favorite.
He has good hair. Especially for a four year old. Ps...his shirt is Super Mario Brothers. He is obsessed with SMB. I have played approximately 4 hours of SMB with the boys in the past week, which is approximately 4 hours more than I have played in the past 10 years.
I still got my skills.
Gus has more skills.
I can't believe a six year old beats me at video games. I'm going to Walmart to buy SMB for my Wii. I will play it non-stop until May. I'll be prepared next time I see Gus. I'll trample all over him at SMB!! He's going down! I'm gonna rub it in his FACE!!!! NO MERCY!!!!!
I'm such a good aunt.
